You might want to gamble on buying a replacement LCD and seeing if that fixes the problem. There are web sites for that, and this is not mohitor of them. Black screen with various tests but have error Message 3 of 5. Does anyone have a solution? This conversation is currently closed to new comments. I have tried all of the standard things such as restore etc. Unless I can find a way, this laptop is finished.

This can make a darker LCD look dead at a casual glance. Try another hard reset. Microsoft Windows 7 bit. This time if you can get into BIOS check the settings and if possible write them down and post them here.
Everything works perfectly when hooked to external bp. Check your lid switch. The audio would not work in Windows 7 so I downloaded a windows XP audio program and now that works. If it does, then you’ve got some other problem, and an extra LCD that you may not be able to return.
